LCD screens are quite delicate and scratch easily. Regular household cleaners are too harsh for cleaning LCD screens and will cause damage. You can buy wipes that are made specifically to clean LCD screens or you can make your own spray to use at home. Fill a clean empty spray bottle with 50% distilled water and 50% white vinegar. Shake it up before using it and spray it on a microfiber cloth like a baby diaper or an old T-shirt. You can also buy and use the microfiber cloths that are used to wax cars. Never spray the screen directly. Use a light touch and small circular motions to clean the screen. Make sure the monitor is turned off before cleaning the screen. Regular tap water contains minerals and sediment that can cause the screen to develop a permanent haze over time so make sure you use distilled water.
